Is this guide therapy or a replacement for counseling?

No. This guide is not therapy and doesn’t replace counseling or clinical care. It’s designed as nervous-system first aid — practical, body-based tools to help you regulate, sleep better, and stop bringing the shift home. For deeper processing and long-term resolution, the full BUILT FOR THIS program is the next step.

What if this brings up stuff I’m not ready to deal with?

This guide is intentionally structured to focus on regulation first, not deep trauma processing. You’re not asked to relive or unpack past events. The tools are designed to help your body feel safer in the present. You stay in control the entire time and can move at your own pace.

Is this guide only for police, fire, and EMS?

While it’s written specifically for first responders, the tools apply to anyone whose nervous system has spent years in high-stress, high-stakes environments — including dispatchers, corrections, and emergency support roles. If your job trained your body to stay on high alert, this guide was built with you in mind.

Do I need prior experience?

No experience is needed. Just a willingness to try and a desire to change. Everything is explained clearly and designed to be practical, not complicated.

How much time will I need each day?

To have real impact and see meaningful change, you’ll want to commit 5–20 minutes per practice. These are short, repeatable tools that quickly become habits — many people find they start using them automatically without it feeling like “one more thing” on their plate.

Is this program live or self-paced?

This is a self-paced guide, supported by weekly emails and additional relevant content on my social media. It’s meant to give you short, bite-sized, manageable tools. The full BUILT FOR THIS program includes live coaching calls and 1:1 sessions.

What if I fall behind?

That’s okay. The practices can be repeated at any time. Move at your own pace, give yourself some grace, and be kind to yourself. You can pause and restart the guide whenever you need.

How soon should I expect to notice a difference?
